Worsted weight yarn

Pattern

CO 5

Knit these stitches into an I-cord that is 12 inches long (or long enough to cover your wire length)

Cast off and feed wire through the I-cord.

Note: It is easier to feed the wire through if you fold the end over so it does not have a sharp end that will snag your yarn. I also found it easier to feed my wire into my I-cord as I knit it rather than after I was finished.

Bend wire into a large circle. Twist ends together and sew I-cord closed hiding the wire completely.

CO 5

Knit these stitches into an I-cord that is 4 inches long (or long enough to cover your shorter piece of wire)

Cast off and feed shorter piece of wire through the I-cord. Close both ends.

CO 5

Knit these stitches into an I-cord that is approx 2 inches long.

Cast off and close ends.

Stitch the 2 inch I-Cord onto the middle of the 4 inch I-cord making a cross.  Sew the cross shape onto the circle you made previously.

Sew in all loose ends.

These make a good garland too.

Handicap Guy Chart

This is a chart I designed.  It is based of the handicap guy on the parking signs and placards.  My husband is handicapped and he just loves it when I knit this guy.  He wants me to make him a cozy for his cane.

This pattern will make a small heart but will also work with a larger hook and heavier weight yarn if you desire a larger and looser heart.  It transfers well to other sizes and weights without losing the niceness.
