Flower Power Chain Scarf

Abbv.

sc – single crochet

dc – double crochet

sl – slip stitch

ch – chain

st – stitch

You will need:

Worsted weight yarn.  For my flower, I used Bernat Harmony Lushest Lilac (Color A) and Red Heart Off White (Color B).

5mm hook

Pattern Starts Here

Ch 26

With Color A, sc into second ch from hook. sc in each ch to end (25)

Turn, ch 1, *skip 1 st, dc in next st, ch 1, dc in same st, ch 1, dc in same st, ch 1, dc in same st,  sc in next st.

Repeat from * until end of work.  You should be placing a sc in the last st of work

Fold work in half so the rounded edges line up.  Place three sl st along edge of work to join the two ends.

You should now have a pretty round flower.

With Color B, sc into second ch from hook. sc in each ch to end (25)

Turn, ch 1, *skip 1 st, dc in next st, ch 1, dc in same st, ch 1, dc in same st, ch 1, dc in same st,  sc in next st.

Repeat from * until end of work.  You should be placing a sc in the last st of work

Thread through the first completed flower. Once threaded through, fold the flower in half and place three sl st to close the flower.

Repeat the pattern above until desired length. Approximately 25 flowers make a 6’ chain.

Sew in ends to finish.

The completed chain will make a beautiful ruffled scarf.

Flower Power Picture Frame

This pattern is for a flower picture frame or other decoration.  I have a great bulletin board in my room but I hate the fact that things are always so bare when hanging there.  When I was crocheting the other day I became inspired to make a little frame that could be tacked onto my bulletin board and moved or adjusted as needed.
