Handicap Guy Chart

This is a chart I designed.  It is based of the handicap guy on the parking signs and placards.  My husband is handicapped and he just loves it when I knit this guy.  He wants me to make him a cozy for his cane.

Happy Heart

Yarn weight – sport

turn, ch 1, 2 sc in first chain,  1 sc in next five chains, 2 sc in last chain (total 9)

turn, ch 1, 2 sc in first chain, 1 sc in next seven chains, 2 sc in last chain (total 11)

turn, ch 1, sk first two ch, 2 dc 4 tc 2 sc in next ch, sl st, sk ch, 2 dc 4 tc 2 sc, sl st in last chain and finish off.

Please note:

This pattern will make a small heart but will also work with a larger hook and heavier weight yarn if you desire a larger and looser heart.  It transfers well to other sizes and weights without losing the niceness.
